Why NOT to Follow The Manufacturer’s Recommended Service Schedule

Don’t forget, the manufacturer makes their money from selling you a new car, not keeping the car you own on the road. That’s my job! A good warranty will cover a vehicle for up to 100,000 miles. That’s on the high end. Funny how some of those fluids will last that long but then you need a new car!

I have found that with regular maintenance and “check-ups” your vehicle will run well over the 100,000-mile milestone. In fact, I have many customers who have been bringing their vehicle to me for years with odometers reading over 100,000. Some even over 300,000 miles! Their car or truck runs like it did when it was new.

I know you’re probably thinking, “Ok, what is your recommended mileage or time for me to get my vehicle serviced?”

Well, there are many factors that I would have to consider before giving you an answer. How many miles does your vehicle currently have? What manufacturer made the vehicle? Sometimes even the make and model will influence that answer.

I can say without hesitation that regardless of what manufacturer, make, or model, Regular service and maintenance by a knowledgeable and experienced mechanic will ensure your car continues to be safe on the road, and runs like new well past that car or truck’s normal “life expectancy”.

If you would like to know the optimal service schedule for your particular vehicle, feel free to give me (Danny) a call at (480) 947-2848 and I’d be happy to share, what in my experience is the best service schedule as well as most important considerations for your specific car or truck and budget.
